Volunteer
The Roslindale Board of Trade offers many opportunities for members to help out with various programs put on by the organization. Volunteering is fun and a great way to meet new people in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Monthly Meetings
This committee is in need of help in procuring speakers for each of our dinner meetings, as well as securing a location, sponsor and caterer. We generally have a speaker at each of our 10 meetings per year.
Sponsors
For $150, your company can sponsor an upcoming meeting of the Board of Trade. Get some free publicity in our newsletter, on our website and at the meeting - help support our organization!
Membership
The purpose of this committee is to increase the membership of the Board of Trade and actively seek new members. We look forward to the continued growth of the Board of Trade membership. We would like to reach out to all members of the Roslindale business community which may be unaware of our existence and/ or purpose. If you would like to brainstorm ideas on how to outreach to the community and increase our membership, join this committee today!
Newsletter
The RBT newsletter, Tradewinds, is published September through June and mailed to all members. We are seeking people to write articles and stories of interest to our membership. The newsletter occasionally runs profiles of member companies, as well as general stories relating to Roslindale or the business community.
Advertising/ Marketing
This committee would solicit and bill for advertising done in the local newspapers, as well as our in house newsletter, Tradewinds.
By-Law Revisions
The Roslindale Board of Trade is one of the oldest business and professional organizations in Boston. It also has a very outdated set of by-laws. We are seeking members who would like to familiarize themselves with our current by-laws, and recommend changes that would be adapted in the future.
Membership Directory
We are hoping to put together the first ever Roslindale Board of Trade membership directory for the upcoming 2002-2003 year. We are seeking volunteers to help coordinate this effort and help make it a reality! We need volunteers to produce this directory, gather information, and sell advertising.
Special Events
This committee will plan several 'strictly social' events to be held throughout the year.
